City Scan

Gain insight into the urban field and develop an urban policy plan.

A zero measurement of the current state of the urban field in a municipality. This includes infrastructure (hardware), supply (software), organisation (orgware) and the urban profile (size, characteristics, initiators, etc.). The situation is compared to (inter)national trends. Local opportunities, which could potentially contribute to a futureproof city with a vibrant urban (youth) culture, are explored. The opportunities are reported, including an investor agenda and first steps towards an urban policy. During this research and participation process, the urban scene will be involved and connected to each other, as well as to public stakeholders.

Urban Concepts

Making

Devise, guide and/or implement at policy level by a policy officer with expertise within urban culture.

Concept development

Creating the preliminary design of the final end product. Realising the best product and delivering it directly executable (on paper/other).

Urban Policy Officer

The urban expert from LINES, a policy-level support function. This person does this through field & desk research, concept development, directing and execution.

Policy support

Within LINES, the urban policy support officer is the jack-of-all-trades when it comes to urban sports and culture and everything around it. Our policy supporters do research on micro/meso/macro level, organise meetings, create models and other useful documents, carry out supportive policy work, etc.

Our makers (officers) are specialised in a.o.:

  • The internal linking of other domains that interface with urban;

  • Creating policy documents: from memos to implementation plans;

  • Setting up (internal) sessions for knowledge sharing, project or implementation;

  • Etc. (to be filled in as desired and possible).

Urban membership

With the LINES membership, your city is always up to date on developments within the urban sports and culture sector.

Embedding and sustaining youth culture requires many challenges. Constantly being in contact with the field and moving with the target group requires time and knowledge. The LINES membership is the module that supports all this.

Dashboard

Unlock all the urban information you need with our LINES Dashboard. In this dashboard you will find everything you need to get to work on urban. It contains real-time data on public space, engagement, use cases, and more. The dashboard is purely based on input from the urban scene. The ideal basis for building bottom-up strategies.

Urban sessions

Urban sessions are online meetings where we cover topics affecting urban sports and culture. We catch up, set up conversations and connect communities and organizations so people can learn, connect and share.

Trend session:

At LINES we are constantly in contact with the public domain, but also with other experts and of course the scene itself. In this session we cover 2 striking topics from the field. This will be briefly presented in twofold, after which there is room for discussion, input and knowledge sharing among the group present.

Urban agenda:

Prepare an agenda with issues that are most relevant nationally (and/or internationally). Prior to the session, the question with themes and input will be circulated among several cities/municipalities. Is there a pattern and a need for certain developments? Then this session is good to spar about that together.

Urban 2.0:

Towards the end of the year it is always evaluating and at the same time looking forward. In addition to municipalities evolving, the scene often does so a bit faster. In this session we invite an expert. This is to present, address a problem with them and create a roadmap/advice regarding the chosen topic.

Extra modules

Modules we have implemented before. We don't turn down new initiatives either.
