SANDER BAARTMANS
When he was ten, he fell in love with a world full of beats, movement, and expression. Under the harsh glow of fluorescent lights in a gymnasium, he watched older breakers perform swipes and windmills, creating what felt like magic. From that moment, he knew: this was his world. That love continued on a square, where he and his brother, along with friends, campaigned for a skatepark. At twelve, he stood at his first skate jam. Inexperienced, but full of fire. Between the falls, the beats, and getting back up, he found his foundation: freedom, community, and perseverance.

In Nijmegen, he rediscovered that passion at Skatepark Waalhalla, where he reconnected with the scene. He began organizing events, including his very first inlineskate jam, which attracted participants from across the Netherlands and beyond. There, he realized that his experiences could help shape sports policy and contribute to social development.

Today, he brings it all together at LINES by CityLegends: his love for expression, and his vision for an inclusive society. His mission is clear: to create a world where every child has the opportunity to discover their passion, just as he once did on that small skatepark and under the fluorescent-lit breakdance floor of his hometown.
